Check out the Paw Prince
For Paw Princess, I wish to offer the following Beagle mix. This is Coco. She also came to me (web page manager) from the St. Lawrence County SPCA as an old lady of about 7 years. We wanted her as a pal to Gyzer, who seemed to want more attention than we were able to give him. So when Coco became available we thought we would see if Gyzer would like her, and if she might be good company for him. Well, she was, she was great company.
Coco,
as it turned out, became the "Lady" of the house, and she
got along famously with Gyzer. She would run and play with him, but
when he got too cocky, she'd just sit down and stare at the "young
kid" acting so silly around her. She loved our cats and quickly
slipped into the position of protector and guard for my wife, Jane,
staying close at her side whenever there was a stranger in the house
or anything unusual going on.
Coco became ill with congestive
heart failure and spent her last year or so with us on heart
medicines. Eventually it became so bad she could no longer stay on
this earth with us, so she moved on to whatever the after-life holds
in store for her kind. They say animals do not have souls and thus
cannot go to heaven but I still have this feeling that when we are
all "up yonder" that we will be reunited with her and our
other excellent pets from through the many years.
Thank you Coco; you have left is with many pleasant memories.
